strange problem, current Siglos pro, codec pack and k-lite pack installed, HD 1080p mp4 video will play on preview screen, but not on second screen. to make sure it was not a limitation of my external video i had second screen just show on the laptop itself and 3/4 of the screen is black, the top left corner shows whatever was in front of it last (like it is not refreshing) but the sound works.
adding to the weirdness, i down-converted it to 480i and the video plays fine on both screens but the sound does not work.
both videos play fine on the same computer in media player classic and vlc player so the computer is handling them and the codecs are there, but what can i be missing?
the HD video also works through Siglos on another computer so it is a setting, but i am lost.
i e-mailed a link for the video to Piotr but looking for any other input as well.

Hey Paradigm, I had the same problem too. I reinstalled older versions of KP going back to version 24 but it didn't clear the problem. I did a system restore and everything's back to normal. I think the newest version did something to a setting that we can't find. I would suggest you do a system restore and stay away from the newest version until they can fix it. All I can say is thank goodness for system restore!! Adam or Piotr can you look into the audio problem with Mp4 in your newest version?

it is part of the klite codec pack (and i think part of the codec pack that doblon put together). on install i had it use that as the default decoder, i think you can change it with the codec tweak tool. it may work just as well with the ffdshow filter but i do not know the settings for that one at all. although using the ffdshow audio filter gives the option to up convert to 96k on the fly and the sound improvement is very noticeable and worth doing.
