removing vocals from audio tracks

Does anyone know how to remove a main vocal from a audio track. I have tried a winamp lugin but it doesnt fully remove the vocal and it also leaves the music distorted.

Have you tried vocal remover in PowerKaraoke? If not give it a try, but keep in mind this is not a magic tool.
