Wait for songs no acting as expected

Post by fragumon »

Don't know if this is a bug or not. Here is the scenario: I have regular singers who often don't choose their songs until they come up to the desk to sing. So I put them in with any old song and then remove the song from their queue. So I have many singers with no songs in their list, but they are in the rotation. Sometimes when they are called, they aren't ready and want to be skipped, so I hit "skip this singer but keep in rotation' This is where the trouble begins. Instead of continuing on in the rotation and coming back to that person next time around, Siglos wants to go back to that singer immediately after the current one. This messes up the rotation. And it does other weird things if that person is the last one in the rotation, often skipping to the middle of the rotation , instead of back to the beginning. I don't think this is the intended result of "skip the singer but keep in the rotation". At least it shouldn't be. Siglos should simply skip that singer and keep the rotation exactly intact, even if all other singers have no songs in their list.

What version of KP are you using? I'm using 2.0.24 and I don't see the feature you're talking about. I do have the enable/disable singer feature and I think that this feature would work perfectly for your situation.

i have a similar problem with "enable/disable" singer. if you re-enable a singer while the "wait for song" is checked it will rearrange the playlist. i use rotation format but switched to playlist to see what the issue was and it rearranges songs so it jumps from singer 22 to singer 6 to singer 14 etc. i have to take each singer one by one during a song and move them up one then down one space to get them back into the right order.

2.0.24...the wait for songs feature is meant to allow singers to stay in the rotation, even if they don't have a song in their queue. You can then add the song when they come up to sing, without disturbing the rotation. At least that's the way it is supposed to work. That's different functionality than the enable/ disable singer
