not my cup of tea. i try to get singers to not sing the same songs over and over, so starting with their list is counter-intuitive for me. This is why i was so looking forward to the sort by date option, we have been using that a lot and have people singing songs they have not done since back in 2011!!! however that is one of the things i enjoy, this software is not geared towards one type of show or host but gives options to make it your own. at a VFW or fraternal lodge show with an older crowd that only sing a handful of songs this would be a great feature.
a "i want to try that song he just did next week" wishlist on the other hand is right up my alley.

So far .42 looks awesum. Still getting 3 blank singer lines at top of the quick singer list tho. Are you planning on adding the last date column to the add singer dialog as well? Also is the option of the "add singer in x number of singers" option in the settings being considered? All in all so far thanx guys you're doing an awesum job with this great software. Just a couple more tweaks and it will be damn near perfect!!
hawke what I did you get rid of the blank singers in the quick singers list I added a singer to the rotation without giving him a name. I started the song then stopped it. I selected the blank singer in the add singer popup (on the top right of the popup) clicked on the x to delete the singer and it deleted the blank singer in the quick singer list. I think because the blank singer was in the list prior to the fix you will need to create then delete the blank singer. But from now on any singer you delete from your Add Singer list will be deleted from the quick singers list as well. Hope this helps you.
What do you mean by last date in Add Singer? The singer history has 'Date added' column that contains the time of the most recent song for the singer. Also what sould "add singer in x number of singers" do, as I am not sure.hawke68 wrote:So far .42 looks awesum. Still getting 3 blank singer lines at top of the quick singer list tho. Hornet--thanx bud that worked..hadta do it for each blank line but they appear to be gone now.
Piotr--last date being a column showing the last date that singer sang that song (in the add singer popup window) (currently has artist title disc id and track number)
--add singer in x number of singers a tick box in settings to add the new singer in 5 (for example) from the current singer as opposed to the drop down menu in the add singer dialogue the 5 being changeable to whatever number of singers suits our needs

hawke I'm glad things worked out for you. For your feature request to Piotr what you're asking is you want to be able to set when a new singer will come up to sing, is that correct? So in other words, if you have it set to 5, every time you add a "new singer", the new singer's song will come up after five people from now then that singer will be placed in that position in the rotation after that, is that correct? So whenever any new singer is added his/her first song will always come up after five people. If I'm correct, I think this would be a really good feature.hawke68 wrote:Hornet--thanx bud that worked..hadta do it for each blank line but they appear to be gone now.

hawke if you want the new singer at the bottom of the rotation you can set the "add singer" to end of rotation or if you meant at the end using the current singer as the beginning you can set it to before the current singer. With this setting anytime you add a new singer, all singers in the rotation will sing first and the rotation will end with the new singer.hawke68 wrote:Yes. exactly or the bottom of the rotation whichever comes first. Y'all are awesum!!

thats a great idea!
another that was mentioned by some new users in other forums is to have the lyric sync adjustment on the main screen to quickly adjust on the fly instead of having to open settings > display then adjust and close to see if you guessed the right timing. could even use the same design like is in settings, and just put it on the main rotation screen just below the tempo adjustment.
another simple add would be putting the number of singers right next to "Singer" on the rotation screen. on small rotations it is not as big a deal, but when regularly running 25+ singers a quick reference is nice.
my picture shows what i am seeing in my head.
